Important Note:

Home address and telephone information for lawyers cannot be released to the public. Any search that includes a country, county, city or state value as a search criterion will only return results based on business location information for lawyers. If a lawyer has not reported business address information to the commissions of the Iowa Supreme Court, that lawyer’s name will not appear on any search that includes location information as a search value. For example, a lawyer who is retired, inactive or unemployed may not have business address information to report or include in the commissions’ database.

This process allows you to search the database of lawyers who have been licensed by the Supreme Court of Iowa to practice law in Iowa. The database includes lawyers whose license is in good standing, lawyers who license has been placed on inactive status or whose license has been suspended or revoked, lawyers who now are deceased, and lawyers who have registered only as in-house counsel.
